The New Haven Math Department strives to empower EACH student to be a lifelong problem solver who can collaborate, adapt, and adjust to a diverse and ever-changing society. We believe that preparing students to confidently and successfully apply mathematical practices across multiple disciplines and real-world situations expands their choices as they make life decisions.
Our diverse student population learns each day through hands-on discovery, student-to-student discourse, and self-exploration. Students gain foundational knowledge and application skills through personalized instructional paths and small-group instruction. Our teachers and support staff work closely with students, using their data to provide individualized strategies that support student growth goals.
