Parent Bill of Rights for English Multilingual Learners

  • As of July 1, 2024, the Connecticut State Department of Education has adopted a Bill of Rights for parents or guardians of multilingual students to guarantee that their rights are adequately safeguarded and protected in bilingual education under Chapter 164 of the general statutes. Additionally, the department ensures the sharing of this Bill of Rights in the dominant language of the parents or guardians.
