Performing and Visual Arts Department
-
The New Haven Public School Performing and Visual Arts Department offers programs designed to enrich students’ self-expression and emotional development. Our dance, media arts, music, theatre, and visual arts programs foster deeper self-awareness while celebrating and supporting rich heritages and cultures within our community. Guided by the Portrait of a Graduate, we nurture students’ understanding of cultural differences and commonalities, providing a holistic education that broadens their perspectives. Our department offers a window into the diverse world, promoting empathy, artistic appreciation, and a lifelong love for the arts.
