Home Schooling

Every family has a right to home school their child. If you decide to home school your child, please be aware that 1) the student will give up their seat at their school if they are currently enrolled at a New Haven public school and 2) the district does not provide any support in educating the child. This means no laptops or coursework will be provided by the district. You are solely responsible for finding the means to educate your child. Please visit the Connecticut Department of Education for more home-schooling information. Please complete the Intent to Home School form below and return it to the Office of School Choice & Enrollment located at 54 Meadow St 1^st Fl, New Haven, or email it to choiceenrollment@new-haven.k12.ct.us.
