http://www.newhavenmagnetschools.com/We are an award-winning world-class Magnet School and a leader in environmental studies. Our school campus supports outdoor exploration that lends itself to experiential learning opportunities. We have one of the largest School-Based Gardens in the district, as well as an established School Yard Habitat, both of which act as outdoor classrooms where students engage in authentic learning experiences. Our Campus extends across Ella T. Grass Blvd. to the Barnard Nature Center, stationed with a full-time Park Ranger, allowing for student-led investigations of the West River. With all the opportunities for exploration and inquiry, students develop the skills they need for the 21st Century and beyond!
VisionBarnard Environmental Studies Magnet School is a dynamic and diverse science and technology-based learning community. Students are inspired and prepared to meet the challenges of the 21st century through a robust academic program where collaboration, innovation, and critical thinking skills ensure that our students will be college and career ready.
MissionEmpower learning, unleash talent and lead a culture of creativity to explain and act upon global problems.
