Mission Statement
All students deserve a quality comprehensive health and physical education program that develops the whole child by educating minds, developing healthy bodies and promoting positive attitudes.
The Physical Education, Health and Athletics Department strives to empower our students with the knowledge and skills necessary for responsible decision-making to enjoy a lifetime of health and well-being.
The Scholastic Athletics program shares in the educational mission of the schools by offering opportunities to experience interpersonal growth, social development, and to improve physical and mental health for student athletes.
Through scholastic competition, the program provides an environment for social interaction, and community building. It also fosters a sense of school spirit and tradition. Games also provide an entertaining escape from the normal rigors of school and work.
The athletic program also tries to create and enhance a positive image of the school and department throughout the city, state, and region.
